Homework
The second grade homework routine is designed to give your child some choice in what they do.  Each Monday your child will bring home a Homework Menu for language arts (ELA) and math.  All they have to do is follow the directions that are printed on the top of the page.

Basically, your child’s weekly homework includes:

• Reading nightly for 20 minutes

• 1 (or more) ELA activity each week

• 1 (or more) math activity each week
Homework menu papers are due each Friday and should be signed by an adult. Your signature indicates that your child has completed his or her required activities.
IMPORTANT - Please remember that children are responsible for knowing their words for Friday’s spelling test so they can always do more activities as needed.
